Information Technology and Methods Group's head for information security, Joey Regala, and Internal Audit Division's head for information systems audit, Lilia Diokno, hurdled recently the tough Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) examination.
Passing the CISA examination is the first step towards obtaining a CISA certification. The CISA program is the globally accepted standard of achievement for professionals in the fields of information systems (IS) audit, control and security. A CISA certification affirms an IS professional's high level of skill, judgment and proficiency in these fields. Such expertise have become increasingly vital to businesses given the changing nature of information technology.
Currently, there are more than 60,000 professionals worldwide who have earned the CISA credential. Mr. Regala and Ms. Diokno, both certified public accountants (CPA), are the first UCPB associates to take the CISA examination given by Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
ISACA is recognized worldwide as the leading professional organization in IT governance, control, security and assurance. With 175 chapters in 70 countries, it provides information and technical guidance to IS professionals.
